CNC router motion layouts

The milling process in the CNC router is dependent on the relative motion between work piece and tool whatever the source of motion. There are many configurations for these motions

v Moving spindle (tool): the spindle is moving in 3 directions

v Moving table (work piece): the table is moving in 3 directions. This layout requires a machine of double size of the first layout assuming the same work piece dimensions

v Combined spindle and table motions (see the table below):
